Multimarine Composites Ltd

Multimarine Composites was formed in 1998 by designers Darren Newton, Derick Reynolds and specialist boatbuilders to produce boats from Dazcat Designs as well as manufacturing boats from other notable multi and monohull designers. The company also uses its expertise to manufacture high calibre composite tooling (plugs and female moulds) and stock mouldings for marine and non-marine products and components.

Construction techniques include vacuum moulded Airex foam laminate with Crestomer core bond, multidirectional E glass fabrics and isophthalic polyester resin. For mouldings which require very high tensile strength, Kevlar can be used.

Founding Multimarine Composites enabled the Dazcats to be built more economically as there were economies of scale due to the scope of the operation. Besides the range of Dazcats Multimarine Composites provides full boat and kit-boat production services for certain models from Derek Kelsall, James Wharam, John Shuttleworth, Nigel Irens and Phil Morrisons.

Multimarine has a 10000 square metre facility near Plymouth, UK and a workforce of up to 16 boat builders.
