Corsair Marine Inc.

Corsair Marine was set up in 1984 to commercialise the brilliant foldable trimaran designs of Ian Farrier who also co-founded the company. Since production started in 1986, over 1300 Corsairs have been built (status 2004), all trailerable, and Corsair Marine Inc. has firmly established itself as the world leader in developing, building and marketing this type of craft.

In 2004, Corsair Marine also launched the first of a series of foiler-assisted power cats, the Corsair Foiler 2200. This model, designed by Morelli & Melvin, is 22 ft (6.7 m) long and trailerable. With a maximum speed of 50 mph it is still stable, offers a smooth ride and is said to be fuel-efficient.
