Atelier Outremer

Atelier Outremer, founded 1984, is one of the oldest surviving company in Europe building multihulls. By 2003, over 170 catamarans had been produced. Atelier Outremer is a specialist builder of fast, rugged ocean cruisers that emphasise ocean-going performance and reliability over accommodation expansiveness. The company claims none of their boats has ever capsized or suffered major structural failure, even though they are renowned for making fast ocean crossings. Numerous international awards and first places in transatlantic races are proof of their construction seaworthiness and speed.
Atelier Outremer uses a patented technique for building in GRP called Overlay Composite System.
