Nic Bailey Design, founded by Nic Bailey, is known for projects as diverse as the capsules of the London Eye, a parish church, an Atlantic rowing boat, power boats, and a variety of sailing cruising and racing multihulls. His designs always have a fresh, modern look, and often have some unique features.
Among his boat designs:
- Two smaller sports multihulls: Coolcat 26, a 26 ft (7.9 m) sports cruising cat, and MTC 28, a 28 ft (8.5 m) sports trimaran, both with accommodation for four.
- A 40 ft (12.2 m) racing trimaran: the first version of this, called MTC C-Star, was later called MOLLYMAWK, holds various transatlantic records, won several single and double-handed transatlantic races (the single-handed race was won by Bailey himself), and won the 1998 and the 2002 two-handed Round Britain Race overall - the first boat ever to do so. The new design version of the boat is called MTC 40.
- IMPOSSIBLE DREAM, a 60 ft/18.3 m performance cruising catamaran that was custom-designed for a wheelchair-bound owner, who is able to sail his boat single-handed. It was launched in July 2003.
- Feral 32, a 32 ft/9.7 m performance cruising catamaran with accommodation for 4-6 people.
- Feral 120, a 120 ft/36.6 m giant racing catamaran designed for The Race 2000, with an exceptionally narrow beam.
