Rafael Francke designed the Cat2fold catamaran. The prototype, which is 36 ft long, can be folded in the water to a trailer width of 8’6” and will thus fit into a normal marina berth.

Cat2fold has a solid bridgedeck between the hulls and can have two types of sailing rig, single or bi-plane. Either version can be folded with mast up.

The company is currently [2004] looking for a larger business to buy this patented folding system, or for an investor to back up production of a smaller version of around 28 ft.
