Lars Oudrup Yacht Design

Lars Oudrup built his first boat in GRP-foam sandwich in 1962 and his first catamaran, a prototype for the Havkat 18, in 1971. The current Havkat range of performance catamarans comprises models from 26 to 42 ft (7.8 to 12.8 m). Plans are available for home builders, while some Havkat models are built in professional yards. Oudrup also designed several other multihull models, including a beach cat and a 26 ft (7.9 m) racer.
