John R. Marples

John Marples has worked in partnership with Jim Brown for more than 20 years, developing the Searunner line of multihulls.

In his career, John has drafted more than 20 sail and power vessels ranging from 7 to 64 feet. He has built five vessels over 20 feet, including two commercial passenger catamarans.

John Marples is the author of numerous magazine articles on sailing and he is an instructor at Woodenboat School in Brooklyn, Maine.
