Harryproa Ltd (Rob Denney)

Rob Denney is the designer and developer of the "Harryproa" type of proa, that has the heavier hull to weather and the lighter hull that carries the rig to leeward. The company he founded, Harryproa Ltd, offers plans for several proas for home-building.

Rob Denney has a substantial background in ocean cruising and racing and has worked as a professional yacht skipper. He has designed and built some very radical craft, among them a windmill-powered catamaran and the precursor of the Formula 40 class. He owned a successful boat building materials importing business, was a pioneer in low cost carbon mast building and is an occasional yachting journalist.

Currently Rob Denney is experimenting with kite-powered boats, and investigating an outboard motor with no moving parts.
