Børge Quorning, founder of Quorning Boats, first gained international exposure as a multihull yacht designer when trimarans he designed won first and second place in the 1995 Round Britain and Ireland Race in corrected time. The next year he introduced the Dragonfly 800 MKII, which is still in production (2004) in a 'Swing Wing' version and maintains an unflagging international racing success.

Børge Quorning's career as a boat designer and builder spans more than 50 years and a variety of multi and mono-hulled craft. In 1967 he founded Quorning Boats ApS in his native Denmark with the aim of building safe trimarans with good performance. From 1981 he concentrated solely on developing the Dragonfly range.

Dragonflys are very versatile boats that can be cruised as well as raced. The floats are foldable for berthing, handling is easy and the interior design, construction and finish is exceptionally good.

The 'Swing Wing' system was developed with Børge's son Jens as are the more recent Dragonfly models.
