Antrim Associates, founded by Jim Antrim in 1979, designs a broad range of performance sailing mono and multihulls, inlcuding ocean racers, sports cruisers and day sailors, as well as electrically and conventionally powered craft.
Several Antrim mono and multihull designs have achieved outstanding success in competition. The 40 ft (12.2 m) trimaran AOTEA holds the San Francisco to Japan and San Francisco to Hawaii single-handed records [still held in 2004]; the 30 ft 10 in (9.4 m) ERIN has won many notable firsts in races in the San Francisco area from 1995 to 2001.
The company also offers composite engineering services and consultancy and was a design team member for the 1992 America's Cup's successful defence.
