Lagoon
Lagoon is a world leading range of cruising catamarans produced by JAT-Lagoon. JAT stands for Jeanneau Techniques Avancées - a boat manufacturing facility renowned for developing and producing advanced competition boats, including the 1986 Route de Rhum winner FLEURY MICHON. The first cruising catamaran from JAT, the Lagoon 55, was launched in 1988. The first three places in the Route de Rhum were won by JAT trimarans while in the same year the range of Lagoon was extended with the Lagoon 57 and 47 models. JAT-Lagoon pride themselves on their technology and know-how developed in their years of building cutting edge competition boats and their skill in adapting techniques and methods for use in cruising multihull production.
In the early '90s the Lagoon 37 and 42 were designed specifically for the American charter market, and production was licensed to a yard in the US.
Today JAT-Lagoon no longer makes competition boats, focusing exclusively on the cruising market, where they have become a world leader.
