Freydis

The Freydis range of ocean cruising and ocean racing catamarans, designed by Eric Lerouge, has established a solid reputation for high performance among sailing enthusiasts.

Freydis catamarans are lightweight craft with low windage, low center of gravity, efficient rig, and slim, easily driven hulls. The emphasis is firmly on performance, rather than cruising comforts. The bridgedeck saloon has a low roof to reduce windage, interior fittings are kept to a minimum to reduce weight and the hulls are narrow to reduce drag. All models have a molded composite forward cross beam and a rotating mast as standard. Some models have daggerboards, others fixed keels. Carbon masts are an option. Later cruising models have more hull volume to improve the accommodation space.

Freydis catamarans are built by Soubise, Soubise Plaisance or the current builder, Tournier Marine [2008] - all operations run by Philippe Tournier. The builder is very willing to customize designs to order.
