Description:

The Trimax 1050 is a new and adventurous concept achieved through innovative design and painstaking development. Trailerable and just over 10 meters, she is still well capable of 25 kts, yet is well appointed with much more roomy and comfortable accommodation than boats of this class usually have. As a high performing multi-purpose craft, the Trimax 1050 is as suitable for racing and adventurous ocean sailing as for extended family cruising.

The floats can be easily folded and locked against the hull to reduce the generous beam from 8.5 to a standard yacht berth 3.5 meters. The Trimax is a go-anywhere boat with a minimum draft of 0.5 m. Daggerboards and rudder self-retract on accidental contact and the bottom of the hulls are thickened to resist damage when taking the ground.

Exceptional stability and seaworthiness result from the very wide beam of the boat and the high buoyancy of the floats. Each ama will support 200% of the trimaran's weight. Whatever the circumstances of collision or hull puncture the boat is unsinkable.

On a trailer the Trimax 1050 is 2.5 m wide and can be towed on the road without special permission on a standard drivers licence. Dismantling the floats and beams for trailering takes a few hours only.
