The Tane Nui is an evolution of the earlier Tane which was designed as a cruiser racer with slender hulls and a 3/4 fractional rig. The original model proved to be appreciated for her seaworthiness as well as her performance. The Tane Nui builds on this last virtue with more freeboard and beamier hulls.
