Privilege 395
- Brand:
- Privilege
- Designed by:
- Marc Lombard Architecture Navale
- Yard(s):
- Alliaura Marine
- Description:
The Privilege 395 replaces the seven-year-old Privilege 37, which was the very successful 'baby' of the line of catamarans from Alliaura Marine that had been in production since 1996. Though extensively remodelled to give better performance, improved interior layout, and to accommodate advanced production techniques, the new version preserves the essential personality of the old. The 395 makes the same quietly reassuring impressions of luxury and practicality in its compact proportions.
The increase in length is all in the transoms which have been extended to incorporate modern sugar scoops with deep recessed steps. There is a higher mast to match the length increase, with 2 square metres more main sail area. The biggest performance benefit, however, is likely to come from the additon of a gennaker (which is flown from a short bowsprit) to the sailplan.The interior layout of the 395 is all new. The galley is 'up' on the bridgedeck, which gives more space in the hulls to expand the facilities, particularly with the addition of a second heads and shower compartment.
The 'Easy Cruise' version is equipped with electronics, autopilot, watermaker, and generator ready for long term cruising. The lower cost version without these extras pre-installed is called the 'A la Carte'.
