Description:

From the start Outremer 45' models earned recognition for speed, with the first unit built winning its class in the 2000 OSTAR single-handed transatlantic race. The BAGNOLES DE L'ORNE was a standard production boat with a mainsail area 10% above standard. Another production Outremer 45' won the 2001 ARC (Atlantic Race for Cruisers). A powerful rig can drive the narrow hulled, low displacement catamaran at true wind speed. Yet there is ample accommodation in the Outremer 45', enabling her to be offered for charter for 8-10 people. However, this boat, with its rugged reliability, seaworthiness and easy handling stands apart as a fast and serious ocean cruiser.
