Description:

The Outremer 40' Light is an ocean cruiser/racer built much more for performance than for parties. Relatively long hulled with a smallish bridgedeck cabin and not much rigid decking forward, the 40' Light has a low displacement for her weight. The hulls are slender and consequently easily driven at speed. Large nets forward minimise weight in the bows and, similarly, the hulls extends far aft of cockpit, keeping the stern light. Concentrating weight amidships gives the boat excellent handling and seaworthiness. The aftwards extension of the hull, the distinctive Outremer sheerline and coachroof curves make the 40' Light a very attractive craft.
