The Marquises 53, designed by Jean Berret and Olivier Racoupeau and launched in 1991, was the largest boat in the Fountaine Pajot range until the introduction of the Marquises 56, a lengthened version of the 53. The Marquises 53 is known its high quality finish and spacious saloon.
Most of these boats were comissioned for private use, though several charter companies bought the Marquises 53 to offer crewed luxury cruises.
