The Lightwave 38 is a version of the earlier Lightwave 35 with extended tramsoms. She is a solidly buily family cruiser with excellent performance and a comfortable and secure interior. The boat appears sleek and very well proportioned while the interiors are well finished and easy to maintain. Tacking is easy, especially so with the self-tacking jib. Performance off the wind is sparkling, enhanced by the screacher or asymmetric spinnaker. The boat is designed to cope with ocean conditions and a high bridgedeck clearance improves comfort offshore.
Improvements over the Lightwave 35 include:
