The Lightwave 35 is a solidly built family cruiser with excellent performance and a comfortable and secure interior. The boat appears sleek and very well proportioned while the interiors are well finished and easy to maintain. Tacking is easy, especially so with the self-tacking jib. Performance off the wind is sparkling, enhanced by the screacher or asymmetric spinnaker. The boat is designed to cope with ocean conditions and a high bridgedeck clearance improves comfort offshore.
In 2000 the Lightwave 35 was named Australia's Sailing Multihull Boat of the Year by the Australian Marine Industries Federation.
