Leopard 62
- Brand:
- Leopard
- Designed by:
- Simonis Voogd Design
- Yard(s):
- Robertson & Caine
- Description:
The Leopard 62 is a lavishly appointed and original cruising yacht with luxury internal layout options for both charter and private ownership. Four guest state rooms have personal heads, showers and vanity area. The salon has a cocktail bar, entertainment centre and separate dining and lounge areas, as well as a very extensively equipped nav station.
Many features of the design make it especially easy to handle. Uniquely for a sailing yacht, the Leopard 62 has a fly bridge. This vantage point allows superb vision of all part of the hull making manoeuvring safe and easy. The engines are mounted amidships, improving weight distribution and hence handling and motion in a seaway.
The Leopard is designed to have lively, rather than sporty, performance. Daggerboards and stepped hull sections improve the efficiency of the hull, giving an anticipated top cruising speed of 10 – 12 kts.
The Leopard 62 is branded the Moorings 6200 in the charter market.
