Description:

The F-9R is a faster version of the F-9A with taller mast, larger sail area and lower displacement. Typically, the interior is sparse to reduce weight, and more carbon and kevlar is used in the construction. The aluminium or carbon mast is rotating to improve aerodynamic efficiency. Hulls are foam cored fibreglass sandwich to minimise weight.

• Rotating carbon or aluminium mast. Wing section preferred.
• Fractional sloop rig with fully battened square-topped main, boomless or roller boom furling options
• Blade jib; roller furling screacher (449 sq ft, 41.6 sq m); asymmetrical spinnaker (996 sq ft, 92.2 sq m).
