Dragonfly 920
Description:

The Dragonfly 920 is a thoroughly stylish, very well mannered cruiser/racer with a substantial competition track record. She is very stable and easy to handle as well as being very quick. The rig and cockpit setup is convenient for single-handed operation and the below decks amenities neatly accommodate a cruising family. With a European CE Category B rating she is capable of extended offshore trips.

Her light-weight construction, high buoyancy floats and high efficiency rig make her a powerful sailing machine. A carbon fibre, rotating mast is standard. Only high quality deck fittings are used and a specially developed single-line reefing makes shortening sail a very smooth operation.

The centreboard and rudders kick up if they hit the bottom, substantially reducing the worry of damaging something when sailing in shallow water. With the winch operated 'Swing Wing' system the beam of the boat can be reduced more than 50%, 10 ft 2in (3.1 m), making marina berthing no more expensive than with a monohull of equivalent length.

As with all Dragonfly models, the cabin design receives wide acclaim for engineering excellence and quality of build. Teak joinery gives the cabins a warm feeling, and though the boat is relatively small, all essential elements for comfortable cruising are meticulously incoporated in an open and pleasing design. - The floats are also demountable for trailering.

The Dragonfly 920 has a Cruising and Racing configuration. The racing version has a somewhat larger sail area.

The Dragonfly 920 Extreme is a more powerful version of the DF 920.
