Dragonfly 800 sailplan
Description:

A top performer on the racing circuit, the Dragonfly 800 is widely successful and popular in multihull competitions everywhere. A rotating mast is standard. Racing and cruising rig configurations are built.

Her easy handling and convenient float-folding system make the Dragonfly 800 Swing Wing appealing for sailing at all levels of intensity. Handling on all points is effortless with feather-light control and sports car responsiveness. Accommodation is compact and very well appointed for weekend-style cruising for a couple or a small family. She has limited off-shore cruising capability.

Elegant design of fittings and outstanding quality of interior finishes set the boat apart from others of the sport/racer class.

The Dragonfly 800 was first introduced 1986 with fixed floats as the Dragonfly 800(26) MkII, the 'Swing Wing' version replacing the original design in 1989. With the folding floats it is an exceptionally versatile boat. A kick-up rudder and centreboard make probing shallow waters less worrying, while the absence of a daggerboard box in the cabin allows more efficient use of the accommodation space.

The Dragonfly 800 Swing Wing is available in a Cruising and in a Racing version. The racing version has a higher mast and thus a bigger sail area.
