The Broadblue 46 is a redoubtable ocean crossing yacht with a Prout heritage. Spacious and stylish as well as sturdy and seaworthy, the Broadblue 46 is built for comfort and easy handling in any conditions.
Throughout the interior, great attention has been paid to the design and quality of furnishings and fittings. The 100 sq m saloon has panoramic windows, a large seating and dining area and a chart table. A large, well appointed galley occupies the mid section of one hull, and an instrument and navigation station the other. Three double cabins are generously proportioned and appointed.
The mast is stepped just forward of the cockpit, consequently the rig is characterised by a relatively small mainsail and large genoa. The accessibility of the mast allows easy control of the sails from the cockpit.
The Broadblue 46 is a development of the Prout 46 and was previously branded the Broadblue Prestige 46.

Hull and deck are both one-piece mouldings in hand laid glass fibre, using powder-bound mat, biaxial woven rovings, isopthalic resin, and Kevlar reinforcement in high load areas. Below the waterline, the hulls are solid laminate, while the topsides and deck incorporate an end grain balsa core. The hull and deck join is fully bonded and protected by a substantial rubbing strake. Keels are integrally moulded and sealed off from the hulls forming a double bottom.
