Blade Runner
Home-built from plans
- Brand:
- Tennant
- Designed by:
- Malcolm Tennant Multihull Design Limited
- Description:
The Blade Runner is one of the first of the larger racing designs from Malcolm Tennant. These boats held most of the race records in New Zealand and have been very successfully raced in Australia. One of the boats holds the record for the fastest passage from New Zealand to Noumea (2004). AFTERBURNER, which is a lengthened version of this design with more sail area, is raced very successfully in California (2004). The design is optimised to be fast, functional and easily sailed. The dimensions of the Blade Runner allow it to be legally trailerable.
The Hi-Octane is a further development of this boat.
